Zoe finishes her summer reading program this weekend! She has spent at least an hour a day reading with Mom or Dad + special lessons with Ms. Walters (a reading teacher who lives right down the street).


She has worked her tushy off! We are very proud of Zoe! 

After many, many years of admiring her music, Megan and I took a long weekend and saw Patty Griffin perform.

We flew to Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina on Thursday-& we immediately drove out to the coast, in Willmington. We stayed at a bed and breakfast for a couple days where we were able to walk around town, rest, and lay out at the beach. . . It was a needed infusion of relaxation.

Saturday morning, we drove back to Raleigh. Patty Griffin performed at the North Carolina Museum of Art that evening.

It was a small, outdoor venue. . . we had amazing seats! Patty's performance was phenominal! In case you are wondering- she sounds just as good in a live setting. Her voice is amazing! She was everything that we could have hoped for. In addition, she played a handful of songs that will be on her upcoming albumn - NEW MUSIC - YAY - VERY EXCITING!

Megan was in NY last week. . . spending time with the girls - Sofia and Madeline.
