Miss Lola lost her 2nd tooth this week. I pulled it out Thursday morning. She was so scared- but she was delighted when I yanked it out. Tooth fairy brought her a couple bucks.

Doesn't that seem a little steep to you?

Didn't we used to get, like, a quarter? maybe 50 cents if we were lucky?

Is inflation really that substantial these days?

Damn, i'm startin' to sound like 'old folk'. Next thing you know i'll be rockin' away on the front porch- spittin' my dentures into a clear, wide cup.

Locks of Love
Lola got just 'a trim'.
Zoe - Hair chopped. 7 inches. I have learned that this is the minimum length of hair necessary to donate to 'Locks of Love'. This charity makes it possible for locks of hair to be donated to people who can use it in wigs- like for cancer patients undergoing treatment.
So I'd like to think of Zoe as 'Zoe the young Philanthropist'. Well, it's a nice thought.

So, not just Anyone can cut my kids' hair. I introduced Zoe, Lola and Meg to my hairdresser- Sid. Ok, so he's 'my guy' at Great Clips - so what? He's not my actual hairdresser. Unlike the ladies, I think guys (like myself) don't HAVE their own GUY, their own HAIR DRESSER. I'm no John Edwards! The place just happens to be close to the house.

But Sid, with Blue and green spiky hair, does one heck of a haircut! And when I told him that we'd only let him touch the girls' hair- he told me with a serious look,
"I'm honored, man."
