Ode to Blue Blanky

This is Zoe's blue blanky. It was my brothers blanket when he was born. When Zoe was about 9mo old I found it and gave it to her. She was instantly attached. Blue Blanky has travel with us everywhere for the last 8 years. Zoe loves her. It originally had little figures on it of Jack and Jill and the Cow that jump over the moon etc. I now have to wash it inside of a pillowcase so that it wont fall apart anymore. I find little parts of "blue" around the house and we pick them up and store them in a little box that Zoe painted. Zoe takes it with her to all sleepovers and I was a little worried until last year when she went to her best friends Gwyn's house and I saw her blue blanket(pictured below). No, it is not a scarf. Gwyn's blanket and Zoe's are so much alike that we all smile a little bit more when we see the other one. We are so glad that it has lasted this long and are afraid of the day when it will totally be gone. Blue blanky has had so much love and will be a story for the rest of Zoe's life.

Last Day of School

Yesterday was the last day of school. They partied all day long with pizza and Dirt Cake and Pinata's. What a great way to end the year. Our girls do not ride the bus, but all the teachers went to the top of the hill and waved goodbye to all the kids. I thought that was great. We are going to miss this school so much. It has been wonderful start for Zoe and Lola. The air condition in the building was out for the last week, that is why everyone looks so sweaty.

The Latest News

The weather has warmed up and the girls are having fun watering the plants with Joe. He misses the plants sometimes and the girls get soaked. They wanted to see if maybe the sleds would work with just water!
We had our Garage Sale last weekend, the girls made $15 at their lemonade stand. Nana and Papa have hired them to work at their garage sale in two weeks.
Zoe has made the $20 she needed to take to camp in two weeks. She is going to go to sleep away camp for the first time and I am starting to get a little nervous. It is a great camp, Bear River Ranch, it is a Jr. vet/science camp. They have over 200 animals and Zoe will be in heaven.
We are getting the house ready to put on the market. I think as soon as the outside is painted we should be ready. I will be traveling to Salt Lake City sometime soon to look at houses. We have a really great realtor there and she has been so helpful with info for our big move.
The girls are out of school Thursday. They both are a little sad about it. I think they both have parties everyday until then. Zoe is going to be a 3rd grader and Lola will start Kindergarten. Lola is already a great reader and can write her name in cursive. She also has been memorizing all of Zoe's multiplication problems.
Zoe is worried about changing schools and leaving her friends. It will be hard on both of them. They both are very outgoing and seem to make friends easily so I think that they will be OK.
We have a big summer planned and hopefully we will get to see all of our friends before we move.
